I\’ve also trashed the Logic 10 plist but that doesn\’t get rid of them either. There is nothing listed in the Control Surface Preferences. There is nothing listed in the Controller Assignments. How do I manually set up my S90ES as a control surface and delete the other ones that I made by mistake?

I have exhausted all options in Logic X to add my keyboard as a Control Surface. Maybe if it\’s not on the list then you can\’t use it but the online help says different.

I would appreciate any help,. Mac mini 2. Recording Light is an interface to a light that indicates you are recording, they have them in studios – you don\’t need this. What makes you think it is – have you seen something indicating this?

Thanks Des, I used my S90ES in Logic 9, I could use it to start recording, stop recording, playback etc as well as channel adjustments. The keyboard works fine as I\’ve been playing some software instruments with it via USB.

Backspace won\’t delete the unwanted control surfaces, also tried with shift, alt and cmd to no avail. Right click and delete does not work either. The control surface icons have an exclamation mark in the top left corner. When I put them there by accident Logic tells you to set them up manually but how exactly? That\’s different to a \”Control Surface\”, which has a very specific meaning. Your keyboard won\’t work as a Control Surface, but you can use it via MIDI, and you can learn various Logic commands to it\’s buttons and controls.

It does for me, here. Also check the manual for the Yamaha, to see whether it will work as an emulated control surface Mackie Control, HUI or similar, maybe..?

I could previously use my S90ES as a control surface in Logic 9, the keyboard has a function called Remote specifically for that purpose and the sliders could be used to edit selected tracks as well as making other adjustments on those tracks.

PS I can assign a keyboard button to Mute a selected track. Not sure how to assign other functions as there\’s no option for other functions.
