The Elephant Café offers three unique experiences and is guaranteed to be the highlight of your Livingstone adventure! Descend the gorge face to the base of the Batoke Gorge on this abseiling adventure with unparalleled views of the waterfall, Victoria Falls Bridge, and the Boiling Pot. Secured in a full body harness, you abseil to the base of cliff for rarely seen views.
On reaching the base of the gorge you have the choice of walking back up the gorge or being lifted back up. The walk up has been designed as an integral part of the day’s activities and is a pretty and easy walk on a gentle slope with plenty of rest stops.

In the Mukuni Big 5 Safaris Park, you walk alongside lions and cheetahs at a private nature park outside of Victoria Falls. While most game parks require you to keep your distance from Africa’s big cats, this private park provides an intimate experience with hand-reared lions and cheetahs. For those that love the thrill and want to get an up-close view/walk with the animals as well as get great photos of big cats, this is the place to go.

Devil's Pool is open during the drier months of the year, usually between mid-August and mid-January. Angel’s Pool opens just before the water levels get too high, from about mid-March to mid-June. However, these dates vary from year to year.
“Mosi-Oa-Tunya: The Smoke That Thunders” - Victoria Falls is known as one of the seven greatest natural wonders of the world due to being the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The enormous waterfall spans 1688 meters wide (the entire width of the river) and plummets 108 meters over a basalt cliff to continue the Zambezi River below.
The rain forest is part of the broader Victoria Falls National Park. Among the animals that may be seen here are bushbuck, baboons and mongooses. The birdlife is profuse, with special sightings being the trumpeter hornbill, Schalow's turaco, the coppery sunbird and the blue waxbill.
Mopane woodland savannah predominates in the area, with smaller areas of miombo and Rhodesian teak woodland and scrubland savannah. Riverine forest with palm trees lines the banks and islands above the falls. The most notable aspect of the area's vegetation though is the rainforest nurtured by the spray from the falls, containing plants rare for the area such as pod mahogany, ebony, ivory palm, wild date palm, batoko plum and a number of creepers and lianas.
Time your visit to catch a Lunar Rainbow or ‘Moonbow’ – when the moon is full, the sky is clear and Victoria Falls are at their peak flow, huge rainbows appear through the mist at night. The light of the moon is refracted through the spray that rises up from the base of the Victoria Falls. This unique event is visible only on the days immediately before and during full moon.

Established in 1934, the Livingstone Museum is the largest and oldest museum in Zambia. It is located in the heart of Livingstone, the home of the Victoria Falls. It holds internationally significant collections in Zambian archaeology, history, culture and natural history and provides an important insight into the natural and cultural heritage of Zambia. It is renowned for its important collection of David Livingstone letters and memorabilia.
There are Segway machines based at the Falls Resort where the guides will take you on an educational tour along the footpaths through the surrounding areas of the Zambezi Sun and the Royal Livingstone Hotel. The knowledgeable guide will point out places of interest, birds, trees and game on the resort.
Chief Mukuni's Village is a Royal village, which was founded around the 13th Century. It is home to about 7,000 Leya people. The chief has invited visitors into his village to get a glimpse of how his people have lived for generations and to learn a little about their traditional customs and beliefs.
The chief's guides and the people of the village are more than happy to show visitors their huts. They show you inside, explain how they are built and decorated, introduce you to various artisans and women at work and ask you to taste some tradition-al foods and beer.
