When installing the only issue I had was it saying that direct-x 9 or something isn\’t compatible with this version. I clicked ok then installed with compatibility option that popped up and it was perfect and smooth.

It is an older game so I\’m sure you have to run it that way. I use my xbox one controller with this one and no issues there. I played 18 WoS before this a long time ago, and this seems like a big updated version with new places, trucks, and trailers. Overall I am very impressed with this game and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice truck driving game. Also, wipers, turn signals, headlights, etc, are still in this game, making it more realistic! It\’s a must buy!

One person found this helpful. I\’ve played 18 wheels of steel since I was a kid. I love all of them and I\’m in the process of purchasing them all. I wanted to buy another one and saw this one. I received it and installed it without a hitch, I brought it up and at first, thought I\’d made a mistake.

But I realized it was the same game as American Long Haul. Its the same game engine. In every detail. The only difference is the music and Haulin\’ has a few less cities. I give it a 4 star because of the similarity to ALH. Haulin\’ and American long haul are great games. But I would have made them different. I really love this game. Been doing virtual truck-driving for almost 6 years now.

This is one game to add on to the list of every virtual trucker\’s need for driving simulators to continue their hobby, which I am fairly a passionate man on. I purchased this game for my boyfriend\’s bday and he absolutely loves it. He\’s a trucker. He says that there are lots of realistic trucks and the scenery is great. And it is more adaptive for the modifications you can make.

He swears that this game is the best truckin\’ game yet. The game came in an unopened package and performs flawlessly I\’m pretty sure that I\’ll be purchasing more games from this company. Been playing it for years on a Windows Vista OS and it never gets boring.

By Ric on October 30, Great game. Best game ever if you have a kid that\’s addicted to 18 wheelers. My son is autistic and loves big rigs. His dream is to own a big rig company one day so this game gives him a sense of owning a business and driving truck routes.

He loves it. Very compatible to windows 98 software, very easy to use, plug and play. I email seller back and ask for a new copy. This one had the disc in it. The seller was very nice enough to send me another copy because I only paid 1 penny for the game brand new.
