We have a brand new full disc with an additional License for Desktop Pro that we want to install on a new computer and be able to have 2 users with 2 separate licenses using Desktop Pro at the same time.

We have been running 2 users on 1 license and we just sign in and work 1 at a time. But now we need to be able to work at the same time, so we purchased a second full program with disc and license and all. We just aren\’t sure what the next step is so that we don\’t lose any of our current company information when we install to the new computer, and add the new license. I have not used the new disc yet, that is an unopened brand new copy with the license and disc etc. We have Quickbooks Desktop set up as a 1 user but on 2 computers.

So that the owner uses his computer when he needs to, and then closes it, and can go home and use the laptop if he needs to. Now we have purchased this 2nd disc so that we can have 2 users open at the same time. So do we uninstall the current installed QB Desktop Pro on the laptop, and then put in the disc and install the new licensed QB onto the laptop?
